This is only a partial list, which represent general application on a company-wide basis. Your individual building will dictate additional procedures to be taken to satisfy the intent of these Policies and Procedures. Trash removal, designated associate parking policies must be made independently, reflecting your individual building requirements.
1. Where feasible, while you are in assigned work area, keep all doors locked.
2. Identify unusual items in trash and turn in to your supervisor. With building management approval, retain these items for a specified period of time before discarding.
3. When items thrown out that may have personal value to your see your immediate supervisor for permission to take home. These things could have been thrown out accidentally.
4. Never open a door for anybody. If the person has a right to be there at he time, he/she will have their own key.
5. Leave all personal items at home or in your car. Any parcels you bring into the building will be subject to search.
6. All parcels, coats, handbags, etc. must be placed in designated area. Do not take these items to your work area.
7. Any cleaner who is found to out of his or her assigned work area is subject to a warning and/or immediate dismissal.
8. Where lockable key containers are provided, the containers will be locked at times when not in use.
9. Where building security systems and/or procedures are in place, it will be the responsibility of the supervisor that all Excel Cleaning Associates follow all of prescribed procedures at all times.
10. All Excel Cleaning Associates with break privileges will take their respective breaks/lunches in designated areas only. No food, drinks or smoking will be allowed in customers private work area.
11. All Excel Cleaning Associates going through customers property, sitting at their desks, using any equipment, telephone, calculator, etc. will be subject to a written warning notice.
12. Excel Cleaning personnel have authorized entry into their assigned building only during the time set by their supervisor.
